The Data Problem in Consumer Sleep Tech

Consumer sleep trackers consistently overestimate total sleep time (TST) and misidentify sleep stages, particularly REM vs Wake, when compared to clinical Polysomnography (PSG). We look at the actual hardware sensors and validation studies, not the marketing claims.
